Mr. Vaillant is a senior electric power executive, senior operational expert and board member. Mr.Vaillant has been based in Latin America for over 17 years. Mr. Vaillant was until recently the General Manager of Omega, a Peruvian Transmission Operator for large mining and other global and national clients.  Mr. Vaillant previously served as Chief Operation Officer for Abengoa Transmission Norte (ATN) from 2008 to 2013. From 2005 to 2007, he occupied executive positions at Hydro-Québec International where he was notably CEO of Consorcio Transmantaro S.A. and CEO of Transelec, Chile’s largest Transmission company. He has been previously planning director at Hydro Quebec TransÉnergie (HQ Transmission company) from 1996 to 2004, leading the planning of one of North America’s largest transmission system and was directly involved in the development of Hydro Québec International to operate and manage electric power assets globally.

 

Mr. Vaillant has been a member of the Board of Directors of Cedar Rapids Transmission Line (CRT), TransÉnergie HQ, TranÉnergie US, Direct Link, MurrayLink and Connexim. Mr. Vaillant is a member of the Canada-Peru chamber, Electrical comity member of the National Mining, Petroleum & Energy Society of Peru (SNMPE) and a representative of power transmission companies on the Transmission sub-comity of Peru’s national electrical operator (COES-SINAC).

 

Mr. Vaillant holds an Electrical engineering degree from Montreal’s Polytechnique (Université de Montréal) and is a member of the order of engineers (OIQ) of Québec.
